Xero: Our Favourite Plug-ins

If you’ve been reading our blogs or following our social media, you’ll know we are Xero lovers. It doesn’t just stop with subscribing to the software though; there are so many ways you can make use of its capabilities through plug-ins. This basically means other software programs that can be used in conjunction with Xero. They work together to make your life even easier.

Here are some of our favourite Xero plug-ins for clients and for ourselves:

  1. Receipt Bank

This one is particularly popular for our tradie clients. Its main use is for sending receipts and invoices out on the go, which can be done by numerous team members at the one time. It automatically publishes receipts to Xero and you can split the total value of a suppliers invoice across two or more tax codes. Super handy!

  1. Stripe

Stripe is a payment gateway, which can be used on your mobile phone. Accept payment then and there with no need for an eftpos or merchant facility. This one is useful no matter what your industry.

  1. Practice Ignition

This is a personal favourite of ours that is used every day in RBK. In a nutshell, it’s a fee proposal and invoicing system. It allows for a smoother onboarding process and deployment of workflow. We’ve used Practice Ignition to scale our business and offer fixed price agreements.

  1. Hubdoc

This is a document storage system that automatically fetches files for you and saves them in the correct folders. Take pictures of receipts using the app, forwarded invoices or scan them in and Hubdoc will convert the image into documents, then sort them for you. Perfect for those of you who struggle to keep track of receipts.

  1. Workflow Max

A job management software that offers an end-to-end solution. Enter the data once and it’ll follow you through the job right until it’s finished. Your team can track time and you can track each project- who’s doing what? When can you schedule in more work? A great one for data analysis!

We suggest visiting each of these websites and having a look at the full range of features. Do you have a favourite plug-in or software that we haven’t mentioned? We’d love to hear about it. As always, feel free to get in touch with the team for any Xero related questions.
